Whilst words seem to form the basis of much of what we do at The Mac Factor, our real passion is for people and their personal development.

Education in its broadest sense and the expanding of minds, experience and horizons is where the only true hope for progress of any sort resides.

Wherever and whenever people at any level are encouraged to think and learn for themselves, positive steps are being taken.

We believe that learning through constructive, open, experience-based activity is probably the most effective and enjoyable way of doing this. We're not so sure about classroom based, turn-the-page and watch-the-slide sessions. That's why we tend to do things our way, to make sure there is plenty of the former and little of the latter.

We research, devise and present training events of all kinds for groups large and small. Everything we do is based on the assumption that the participants have to be not only engaged but also entertained.

We work with modern apprentices, trainees, sales teams, managers, management teams and directors. We get them in mixed vertical groups, from different divisions within a company, from different countries of a multi-national or all from the same department.

We don't really care as long as everyone has an open mind and a positive attitude - and if they don't have those, no problem. They are the first things we work on.

Whether you have anything from a distance learning project, through a serious company culture change to an entertainment based, motivational event in mind, The Mac Factor can make sure you get the desired result.

It has often been stated that learning should be fun. At The Mac Factor we like to provide the conditions that prove this to be true and demonstrate that nothing is more enjoyable than that moment when it all falls into place and you truly understand.

Case Study - TravelForce Training Day

When John Morgan was offered the opportunity to take over the running of successful City business travel operation, TravelForce, he knew he wanted to start by getting everyone who worked there pointing in the same direction, running at the same speed and in tune with his own unique way of working.

A renowned public speaker in his own right, John booked the Café Royale one quiet Saturday and ran the show himself, but he wanted a finale that would work as an ambush, an entertainment and a training session - all at the same time. So, he called in a special "guest speaker" he had worked with successfully in the past at both British Airways and bmi.

"I knew exactly the result I was going to get with Mac, because I have worked with him for a number of years and always found his work to be absolutely superb.

He can work straight as well as comedy and has a range of "off the shelf" team building events, but for the Café Royale I asked him to come up with something a bit different. Something that would take my lot by surprise and have them taking part despite themselves. It was brilliant. Not just effective, but really good fun. I couldn't get them to go home when it was over.

It is so important to have confidence in the people you work with as it enables you to concentrate on other things and with Mac I always know his side of the job will be carried out with excellence. I can thoroughly recommend him and certainly intend to use him again."
